I'm a Uniting Church Minister living in the Illawarra area of New South Wales, Australia and available to conduct weddings and funerals in Australia or provide spiritual support in whatever way I can.
I have three other blogs going at the moment which will tell you a little about what I think is important in life. One of my interests is in assisting men live fuller lives especially in their relationships with their partners and children. When it comes to theology or the study of God I am interested in how our ideas about God influence how we live and act in the world. I am interested in promoting a spirituality that brings a sense of freedom to the individual and the community and a spirituality that makes meaning in everyday life.
I am quite happy to conduct weddings and funerals for people from whom a belief in God is not central to their existence but who value human life and relationships, who value love, peace and justice and people who express a sense of spirituality without it necessarily being Christian. I am able to respect the beliefs of others and people who describe themselves as atheists or agnostics. My own belief in God comes very much from my reflections on the kind of person Jesus was. I see him as a person who accepted those not considered important in society and as someone who accepted people for who they were rather than for what they believed or what they had achieved.
